About the role
We would like to appoint an environmental and analytical facility technician, to join the College of Biological and behavioral sciences, which implement excellent activities for education, research and public participation, with the support of more than 25 technical employees.

This post is part of the family of technical services profession at Queen Mary University in London, which supports jobs across multiple locations and provides infrastructure and support all research, educational and learning activities.

The purpose of this role is to operate and maintain environmental analytical facilities and field research including among other things, Agilent 8890 ECD & Fid, Thermo Delta V Plus & Sercon Integra 2, analog rate, Skalar San Wet Chemissary, and Agilent 1200 HPLC. In addition, the postal holder will provide general support for the laboratory management in the biology department, according to the directives of the Laboratory Director of the Biology Department, for example, equipment incitement and remity for new members of employees and students, pelvic maintenance, chemical stocks, waste disposal and home support.

About you
In order to consider this role, you will have a great understanding and artistic experience in working in a research laboratory environment that supports the research/research researchers more specifically in maintaining environmental analytical and operating laboratory equipment, exploring and repairing errors, and supporting field work. In addition, you must have experience in preparing the environmental sample, analyzing it and processing data using the comparison of the comparison, gas analyst, and wet chemistry analyst.

Due to the nature of the work concerned, the basic operational requirements of this role can only be met effectively when working on the campus. Thus, this role is exempt from a regular pattern of hybrid work. Work can be considered remotely as the task is made and where there is sufficient coverage on the campus to meet the services of service. The publication is fixed for 18 months.
