The best engineering colleges in India are witnessing early signs of stronger appetite among talent recruits this year, despite the opposite winds of the global macroeconomic economy, especially commercial tensions.

The recruitment season begins in December for the 2026 at the Seven Old Indian Institutes (Iits) In Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kharjbour, Kanbur, Boho and Rurky. The recruitment records started in these colleges.

Early trends of these IITS indicate a larger recruitment assortment, high interest from high -frequency trading companies (HFT), and the possibility of increasing job offers, and employees of employment cells in these IIS ET have told.
“There is an increasing participation of companies in software, Amnesty International, data -based roles, BFSI, startups, HFT companies, as well as semiconductor and basic engineering sector this year,” said IIGPUR.

HFT companies like Jane Street, Graviton Research Capital, Hudson River Trading, Millennium Management and Da Vinci are active derivatives in most IITS in recent years.


“We expect similar or higher participation (from HFT) this year, said Gupta.sudept Sinha, founder of HFT Command Atlas Research that the company is likely to enhance it from the 2026 IIT IIT Ellene. Sushant Kumar Sharifastava, coordinator, training and training in IIT BHU said.

Employment cells put new strategies

IITS is fully on strategies to attract more recruits who can offer convincing offers for their students. These colleges display their advanced research work, focus on basic companies, training students to prepare them for interviews through employment tests, training soft skills, and leadership development, among other things.

“We are also expanding international training to build international links for companies and enhance the experience of the recruitment with a simplified digital gate and a clear time schedule,” said Gupta.

IIT BHU has started a more awareness -raising approach this year. It now has custom awareness teams that focus on specific sectors such as Quant and Sde, data and consulting. “The idea is to enhance our relationship with recruits in a more targeted way,” said Sherfastava.

Meanwhile, to get a better understanding of recruitment requirements than recruits, IIT Roorkee does a scan for graduates. “These are these graduates who joined the basic companies,” Pancholi said. The Foundation has strengthened communication with the leading companies in the basic and emerging sectors.

Most IITS takes advantage of a much larger range of companies to enhance employment numbers this year.
