Its use is sometimes increased by the ability to understand and evaluate these systems. The Security Self -Government Institute (ISA) is one of the leading research institutes at the University of York, and enhances knowledge and practice in safe and connected robots and independent systems, which are increasingly dependent on artificial intelligence, so that it can be designed, spread and operated safely. The ISA distinction stems from understanding that its research is stronger and more related to societal challenges by being multidisciplinary. ISA is located in a building designed for this purpose that provides a group of experimental facilities specialized in the fields of communications, robots and autonomy. The institute has an external firm confrontation that works closely with the industry, the government and the third sector to identify and exploit multidisciplinary job opportunities and to create an impact of excellent research that occurs throughout the university in the field of robots and safe independent systems.

We look forward to setting the development of business, know -how and inhabited community to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of ISA by strengthening the prosperous research and innovation community, which leads to sustainable growth through external partnerships and financing. This is a major date in a small team, along with a new communications and participation manager, administrative and technical support. This role requires a dynamic and strategic approach, the curiosity to understand technical specializations and projects, and the ability to balance the community building with commercial acumen. The direct mail holder will support the directors participating in the institute to present the ISA strategy, especially in stimulating cross -through disciplines, developing influential partnerships with stakeholders, and enabling ISA to contribute to national and international initiatives. The development of business and community manager will work closely with colleagues at all levels, especially other employees who face industry, the director of communications and participation in ISA, the broader research community, the central teams to lead the development of the ISA crossing challenges in the funded and institutional initiatives, and draws their own approach to the project and individuals concerned, and progress in leadership. From abroad, the first place will be effective in developing and enhancing relations with industry and other institutions, expanding commercial work, income in the institute, and reporting its success. Encouraging the research and innovation community that is actively facing external, identifying the appropriate market opportunities and implementing business development strategies is vital for the success of this role.
The necessary skills, experience and qualifications
- Excellent skills in networks and building relationships
- The ability to develop and implement business development strategies
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to determine market opportunities
- The ability to learn new and complex research environments
- Knowledge of research and relevant innovation, industrial partners and other external organizations
- The work experience under pressure and deadlines
- The work experience in the research environment
