🚀 Learning Support Specialist – Photography at the University of Leeds Picky

Leeds Arts School is excited to provide a great opportunity for an emotional and experienced photography practitioner to join our creative community as a learning support specialist.

This role supports an open resource access to university students and graduate studies, as well as employees, through a wide range of specializations including architecture, products design, graphics, fashion, fine arts and more.

Daily responsibilities:

You will actively participate in the support of students and employees in the use and techniques of photographic equipment, and provide guidelines about the operation of the camera, lighting settings, and creative curricula. You will manage and circulate equipment reservation, make sure the dark rooms and associated facilities are maintained, and help users in the workflow of digital editing using the standard industry programs. Your role will be practical, respondent and central for the smooth operation of our photography resources.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in cameras: Extensive experience with both digital and traditional film cameras, from 35 mm to medium, allowing users to explore a full set of photographic practices.
  • Studio lighting and site: In -depth knowledge of studio lighting settings and equipment, and support for diverse users in projects ranging from fixed life to high -energy fashion buds, both in the studio or on the site.
  • Darkroom Mastering: Practical Skills in Treating Wet Movies in White Black and Traditional Printing of the Dark Chamber, including creating photographs.
  • Digital workflow: Knowing a strong process from Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, helping users to improve and raise digital photography.

You are a practitioner with great experience in industry and education, capable of inspiring and directing others through practical support, technical experience and cooperative spirit.
