Quinnipiac University invites applications for the Assistant Athletic Director position. Marketing and Fan Engagement will work with the Marketing and Strategic Partnerships team to navigate a fast-paced sports marketing environment to help build the Quinnipiac Athletics brand. This position will support the marketing efforts of Quinnipiac’s intercollegiate athletic programs.
Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, the Assistant Athletic Director will play a key role in promoting Quinnipiac’s 21-division intercollegiate athletic programs. You will develop and implement innovative marketing strategies, enhance the fan experience, and engage students, alumni and the greater community in support of Bobcat Athletics.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and direct annual marketing/promotional campaigns focused on enhancing attendance and ticket sales at home sporting events, with a primary focus on hockey and basketball.
- Fulfilling corporate sponsorship components that will enhance game exposure and community partnerships.
- Assist the box office through group sales initiatives and ticket-based promotions.
- Create and implement comprehensive advertising plan, paid social campaign and branding efforts; Work directly with our advertising agency and Qatar University MarCom administration.
- Serve as a point person working with the Office of Student Affairs to increase student engagement and participation in sporting events. Design effective on-campus marketing initiatives to increase student attendance.
- Develop student promotions, giveaways, and in-game contests to increase the game day experience.
- Direct supervision of sportsmanship groups – such as Pep Band, IceCats, and Sideline Cheer.
- Coordinate with Athletic Communications to use social media platforms to engage fans/students.
- Hold special events and coordinate game day promotional activities; Coordinate community and on-campus events to support our ticket marketing and promotional initiatives.
- Operate in compliance with all NCAA, MAAC and ECAC conference rules and regulations.

Education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of college-level sports marketing and event management experience developing and implementing in-game marketing plans and promotions
- Experience at an NCAA Division I institution or professional sports organization is highly desirable
- Great skill in using computer programs and social media platforms
- Understand NCAA rules and regulations
- Demonstrated organizational and creative skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
