Main purpose of the job
This position serves as the Third Office Secretary, providing support to staff and department personnel by processing certification and recertification of EMS (pre-hospital physicians) personnel for basic life support programs in the State of Maryland.
Duties of the position
– Perform various office duties as needed using office technology Xerox, fax, print, scan, and file.
– Certification and re-accreditation process for pre-hospital doctors using OCS (Image Orientation): This job function includes processing Applications submitted through Image Trend include: Initial EMT Certification, Initial EMR Certification, Renewals, Name Change, Request for extension, surrender, reciprocity, return, affiliations.
– Upon completion of the class, ensure that the class undergoes provider training register.
– KACE system: Process the request as requested by the help desk.
– Mail Duties: Handling the daily flow of incoming and outgoing mail – Open the mail, date stamp, and distribute it to the appropriate person. Outgoing mail is sorted by weight, stamped and mailed. to prepare
Deposits daily, as needed. Deposits are verified by their supervisor.
– Handling routine phone calls: Requires the ability to screen and route all calls Calls to the appropriate person/coordinator. It also includes savingsCallers substitute when the person they want to talk to is

-Scheduling and assisting with exam administration for both BLS And amyotrophic lateral sclerosis doctors.

Minimum qualifications
education: Graduation from an accredited high school or obtaining a high school equivalency certificate.
expertise: Three years of performing secretarial or clerical work that includes writing duties.
Notes:
1. Additional secretarial or clerical experience may be substituted on an annual basis for the required education.
2. Thirty credit hours in the secretarial or office technology specialty from an accredited college may be replaced by thirty credit hours for one year of experience for up to two years of the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a noncommissioned officer in management classifications or administrative, clerical, or office services specialty codes in an administrative support work area on an annual basis for the required experience.
Required or preferred qualifications
– Two years of experience using writing assignments to process applications
– Two years of experience and proficiency in Google applications, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
– Practical knowledge and/or experience with MIEMSS
– Good organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Experience in KACE system
Special requirements
May be required to demonstrate the ability to type accurately on a personal computer keyboard at a minimum of forty words per minute, depending on the specific requirements of the position.
