About the role

As one of Peregrine’s Senior Product Designers, you’ll help envision and amplify the digital future of public safety. Understanding our users’ needs is key to this role, so you’ll have ample opportunities to learn how to use Peregrine in the field. You’ll collaborate with talented designers and engineers to define the digital renaissance for public safety and delight users who rarely use premium software—transforming complex, data-intensive workflows into intuitive solutions.

We’re looking for a highly curious and innovative Product Designer to shape end-to-end experiences within a broad data platform – from research, to thinking through solutions, owning the craft and finishing every detail of the product.

About you

• Having broadly defined, high-impact design initiatives to deliver a well-executed, highly polished product that will delight users
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work well across design, engineering and business
• Development teams define scope and priorities to ensure high-quality results
• Participate in design critiques with design and leadership teams
• Partner with leadership to define product strategy and craft a compelling story that inspires team members toward a unified outcome
• Contribute to growing the design discipline in a company that values ​​exceptional user experience – this includes contributing to our design systems and asset library
• We support a flexible hybrid environment that balances in-person collaboration and remote work

What we are looking for

• 10+ years of experience* leading software product design while maintaining a consistent focus on user experience
• Exceptional interaction design, visual design and design thinking – with the ability to illustrate your thinking process
• A passion for transforming complex problems into intuitive workflows while maintaining product quality and refinement
• Ability to excel in a fast-moving and sometimes disorganized environment
• – Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Origami
• Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow from a team of high-performing builders
• A strong portfolio of design work that conveys the ability to ship successful products
• Located in San Francisco and open for office work

Salary Range: $176,000 – $240,000 per year + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
