Real estate and workplace manager

You will shape the future of work at Clio, balancing hybrid collaboration, employee experience, real estate strategy and global travel as we scale. This role oversees a growing portfolio across North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific, managing leases, fitouts, space planning, workplace operations, travel and budgets across a high-performing global team.
Responsibilities
Strategic leadership
- Define and develop our workplace strategy to support a distributed and hybrid workforce first
- Own the global real estate and travel strategy: portfolio planning, site selection, lease negotiations, corporate travel program oversight and Opex budget management
- Partner cross-functionally with legal, finance, IT, and executive leadership to align workplace investments with company growth
- Manage vendor relationships and systems that support real estate, workplace and travel programs, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency and employee experience
Team leadership
- Lead and develop a global workplace experience team including office managers, WX manager and project staff
- Build scalable software, systems and standards for consistent, high-quality workplace operations
- Promote a culture aligned with our philosophy of humane and high performance with a focus on inclusion and continuous improvement
Real estate and capital projects
- Leading real estate transactions including lease renewals, expansions and exits
- Supervising office movements, construction and decommissioning operations in coordination with internal and external partners
- Own CapEx forecasts and manage real estate capital budgets
Health and safety
- Global strategy for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards across all offices, ensuring compliance with local laws and alignment with company risk policies
- Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity planning in partnership with Risk and Legal
- Set and maintain facility maintenance standards, ensuring consistent vendor performance across locations
- Overseeing physical security, including access control systems, visitor management,
- Act as an escalation point for incident management, supporting local teams through resolution and root cause analysis
The future of work
- Design a long-term vision for how we collaborate across remote, hybrid and in-office teams in partnership with the Director of Employee Experience
- Lead programs and policies that support engagement, intentional gatherings (including locations and installation days), and efficient use of space
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in workplace, real estate or facilities leadership roles in global organizations
- Proven success managing large-scale office portfolios, lease negotiations, travel programs, and budgets (Opex and CapEx)
- Experience in hybrid business models and staff expertise
- Exceptional skills in leading stakeholders and individuals
- Experience scaling systems, processes and teams across regions
- Experience negotiating lease agreements
- It’s nice to have Spanish

The full salary range* for this role is $144,200 to $180,300 to $216,400 CAD. Please note that salary ranges may vary based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may vary depending on the employee’s location.
Additionally, this role is eligible for variable pay based on company performance, with actual pay amounts calculated and paid on a quarterly basis.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the low end and midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the high end of the salary range for internal employees who demonstrate high performance and sustained impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will depend on the individual experience and skill set of the candidate. Please note that there is a separate set of salary ranges for other regions based on the local currency.
