We are looking for a post -metabolic researcher participant and participating with skills in Coptic and Arabic to work in the project that is funded by Ukra This cooperative project on the Coptic manuscripts at the John Raillands Research (Johrils) Institute and Library of John Rilands will lead to bridging the current gap between traditional academic research on these handicrafts and local Coptic society. PDRA will be shelter in JRRIL.

The project’s goals are three times:

• To cooperate with the local Coptic Orthodox community to identify the main manuscripts in JRRIL that can illuminate the formative period of Coptic history, followed by a detailed analysis of the selected manuscripts.
• To investigate the history of the Coptic archive at the John Rilands Library, it was placed in the broader narration of the practices of the colonial era and its contemporary legacies.
• To raise awareness and reach the Coptic Group in Manchester, through assembly meetings, a general conference, and a joint digital exhibition and a folder that was released with publications, translations, articles and repercussions.

The postal holder, referred to here as PDRA, will work primarily on manuscripts, and writes a detailed and attractive description in English and translations into Arabic. They will be responsible for work with the director of the line, Dr. Sarah Parkhaus, in the Department of Religions and theology at the University of Manchester, and Dr. Jeremy Benner, research research, African and East, in John Rilands. There is an opportunity to participate in the life of departments and also acquire knowledge of technical practices.

The main collaborators are the Coptic Church in Stockport, Manchester, the Coptic Church in Lanudeno, Wales. The project has a broad and international consulting council. You may find PDRA, which is looking for an academic profession between traditional research and joint construction.
