In partnership with Securitize Fund and Blackrocks BUIDL, USDtb It provides a more traditional option to asset-backed stablecoins, while leveraging existing financial infrastructure to attract institutional clients. The role

As a Senior DeFi Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, deploying, and maintaining cutting-edge DeFi infrastructure and products in the world of stablecoins, staking, liquidity, and cross-chain flows. You will serve as a technical lead on DeFi architecture, bridge protocol development, security, and trading infrastructure to deliver systems that expand Ethena’s market impact while protecting user and treasury assets.

You will work closely with our Security Engineering, Trading and Risk Engineering teams to integrate market data, liquidity signals and execution systems into DeFi flows. Your business will enable secure automation of mint/redemption processes, LP strategies, and management-controlled vaults while maintaining world-class security, scalability, and reliability.

What will you do?

• Design and delivery of core DeFi protocols: Including staking, stablecoin integration and liquidity systems, ensuring deployments are secure, gas efficient and compatible with product roadmaps.
• Lead cross-chain infrastructure development In bridging, messaging, LayerZero/LZCompose, and payment administrators to ensure a seamless user experience with high reliability across supported chains
• Partner with Security Engineering To design and deliver modern, robust multi-signature/on-chain monitoring and tools solutions
• Enforce strong security practices By implementing audits, fuzzing, static testing and incident guidelines with 100% correction of high-risk issues within industry timelines
• Collaboration with trading and risk engineering To integrate market data, liquidity signals and execution systems into DeFi flows, enabling secure automation of critical processes
• Your comprehensive life cycle DeFi products from whitepapers/specifications to contract execution, deployment, monitoring and upgrades while maintaining 99.9% uptime on critical contracts
• Driving innovation In stablecoin infrastructure by introducing new products in partnership with external stakeholders
• Mentor of junior and senior engineerswhich increases the team’s DeFi depth and implementation speed while documenting learning and creating reusable frameworks

What we are looking for

• DeFi Protocol Experience: Deep knowledge of smart contract patterns, staking, AMMs, stablecoins, bridges, governance, and liquidation mechanisms
• EVM smart contract development: Proficiency in Solidity and EVM patterns with experience in advanced tools (Foundry, Tenderly, Slither, Echidna)
• Solana smart contract development: Proficiency in Rust and Solana patterns with experience in advanced tools (Anchor, SPL)
• System design and architecture: Ability to design scalable, gas-efficient, and upgradable DeFi systems that balance modularity and reliability
• Security engineering first: Experience anticipating vulnerabilities, applying formal verification, auditing, fuzzing and static testing
• Cross-chain infrastructure: Hands-on experience with messaging protocols (LayerZero, Axelar, Native Bridges), payment banks, and multi-chain state synchronization
