Community Christian Church is a warm and welcoming community of Christ followers located in Sharpsburg, Georgia. Sharpsburg is a rural city in Coweta County, about 40 miles southwest of Atlanta. Community Christian Church was founded by Pastor Ed Martin in the spring of 1991 under the influence of the Restoration Movement. The church has flourished in the area over the past three decades and continues to make an impact in the lives of hard-working individuals in the community. Today, the congregation is led by Pastor Nathan Martin.

The Christian community is passionate about helping people encounter Jesus and grow to become His disciples under the mission statement: “We love Jesus, so we are equipping the 99 people to be His disciples.”

Reach 1.” Everything they do: teaching, worship, outreach and service, is rooted in their mission. About 330 people gather every Sunday for worship services at 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. During these two service times, Community Christian Children’s Ministry, CKids, provides a dynamic small and large group format for about 60 children. A Sunday at Community Christian can best be described as teaching Welcoming, multi-generational, engaging Bible, modern worship, and a real community feel.

Christian Community Church is looking for the right candidate to provide ministerial direction to the group of committed volunteers, the 60 children who regularly attend on Sundays, and those in the community who have not yet entered the doors. The right candidate will be passionate about leading an excellent children’s service and eager to work alongside the care staff team. They will have a deep heart not only for children, but will live a passion for developing and discipling volunteers. The ideal candidate will have a natural ability to connect with all types of people, possess strength in organizational skills and will align with the church’s overall mission and vision.

Below are the qualifications and responsibilities outlined by The Froot Group and the church for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading, developing and ensuring the Ministry of Children’s programs

Attractive, age-appropriate, and consistent with the mission of the church.

  • Ensure that all Ministry activities provide a safe and caring environment

For children.

  • Strengthening relationships with families within the church and providing guidance

And support them in their spiritual journey.

  • Organizing events and resources that provide parents with their children’s education

  • Recruit, train and supervise a large team of volunteers to ensure their effectiveness

Handing over the ministry.

  • Providing ongoing training and support to empower volunteers in their lives

  • Model a deep love for Jesus and encourage children to develop their skills

Faith through prayer and Bible teachings.

  • Pray regularly for the church, families, and children in ministry.

Qualifications:

  • A strong personal relationship with and passion for Jesus Christ

Sharing his love with children.

  • Proven experience working with children and families in church or

Ministry status.

  • Excellent skills in volunteer recruitment, team leadership and training.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to adapt to changes in a

  • The spirit of cooperation and teamwork with our church employees.
