Admissions Coordinator at the University of Sussex

About the role

The Office of Admissions is looking to hire a new Admissions Coordinator to support the smooth, professional and efficient operation of the University’s admissions process.

Working as part of the Central Admissions Office, you will primarily work within the Postgraduate Admissions team looking after applications for a range of Masters courses and responding to applicant enquiries.

The Admissions Office is a busy, friendly environment with a team currently numbering 40 staff (including this position) split between undergraduate admissions, postgraduate admissions and scholarships. The Associate Director of Global Admissions oversees the work of the entire office.

About you

You will have a friendly and welcoming demeanor and ideally have current experience working within admissions.

You will need to be organised, hardworking and possess excellent attention to detail. You must be comfortable working in a busy, pressured environment while expecting to meet tight deadlines.

The admissions team works closely together throughout the admissions cycle, so you will have demonstrable teamwork skills while also possessing the ability to work independently and take initiative, when needed.

You will need excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

You will ideally have experience working with people from all over the world and in dealing with those whose first language is not English.
