We are looking for a Global Benefits Manager To join our people team. This role can be based in our Vancouver, Calgary or Toronto (Hybrid) offices.

This is a unique opportunity Define and leverage Clio’s global benefits strategyensuring that our programs reflect our values, support our people, and keep pace with the evolving needs of a high-growth SaaS organization. You will lead the design, delivery and improvement of our global benefits offerings – from health, dental and retirement programs to wellness initiatives and leaves of absence – ensuring they are competitive, aligned and meaningful to Clions around the world.

What will you do:

  • Define and establish our global benefits philosophy, and create a strategic roadmap to effectively operationalize all program elements.
  • Annually benchmark our benefits package against industry and technology market trends to ensure we remain competitive. Analyze program effectiveness, utilization, and costs to recommend strategic improvements.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership in the design, development, implementation, management and delivery of our global benefits programs, including: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance coverage, retirement and annuity plans, statutory leave and provisions.
  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of all employee benefits programs, including health (medical, dental, vision), retirement (401(k), RRSP), life insurance, disability, leave of absence, and wellness initiatives.
  • Lead annual global benefits renewals globally and recommend approaches moving forward taking into account feedback from internal stakeholders, market research and cost analysis to ensure the company receives the best return on investment.
  • Lead the entire annual open enrollment process, from planning and system configuration to creating engaging communications campaigns and educating employees.
  • Serve as the primary contact for benefits brokers, carriers and external administrators. Lead renewal negotiations and manage vendor performance to ensure excellent service.
  • Continuously improve the employee experience by streamlining benefits communications, FAQs, and self-service tools.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with local legislation.
  • Proactively partner with key people, finance, and legal stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow, accurate payroll deductions, and budget alignment.

What you will have:

  • Over 8 years of supervision of multiple interest areas including modelling, design and implementation of multiple regional programmes
  • Proven track record of delivering projects with world-class benefits.
  • Strong analytical and storytelling skills when preparing and presenting benefits plan recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of retirement, health, dental and vacation plan design across a global scale.
  • Experience setting up post-acquisition benefit coordination integrations.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate and align competing priorities across diverse teams.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of regulatory requirements in Canada, the United States, and international markets, including COBRA, HIPAA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, and statutory authorizations.
  • Strong proficiency in workday benefits management with the ability to improve workflow and resolve process-related issues.
  • Experience collaborating with payroll teams to ensure accurate benefit deductions and seamless management of leave administration.
  • A growth mindset when it comes to improving processes and new technologies, especially artificial intelligence

The full salary range* for this role is $128,800 to $161,000 to $193,200 CAD. Please note that salary ranges may vary based on location and local currency. Additionally, benefit offerings may vary depending on the employee’s location.

*We aim to hire all candidates between the low end and midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the high end of the salary range for internal employees who demonstrate high performance and continued impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will depend on the individual experience and skill set of the candidate. Please note that there is a separate set of salary ranges for other regions based on the local currency.
