The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching and curriculum development of undergraduate and graduate programs in applied mathematics and statistics, to play a leadership role in collaborative research projects and to conduct ongoing original research and publications in the mathematical sciences.

Candidates must have a PhD, preferably a graduate degree (or equivalent) in applied mathematics or statistics, and excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Experience in supervising PhD and MSc students, and successfully obtaining external research funding is essential.

The position will initially be offered under a fixed-term contract with the University of Nottingham, Ningbo, China for a period of 5 years starting September 2026. This contract may be extended by mutual agreement.
