Supervisor of Music Collections at Cambridge University

Role:
The Supervisor of Music Services (Academic Liaison) fulfills a key role in supporting teaching and research in the School of Music. The role holder is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Faculty Library of Music and for projects and activities around music-focused scholarly communication across the University of Cambridge Libraries and Archives.
As a Music Services Supervisor you will:
- Providing high quality user services.
- Develop and deliver teaching sessions on music information skills and resources.
- Be sure to discover collections and provide reading list materials.
- Liaise with the academic community to ensure all music information needs are met.
- Supervising daily management.
What we are looking for:
- Music literacy and a good understanding of music as an academic subject.
- Experience developing and providing library services.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Digital literacy, such as understanding metadata requirements for music materials or the potential role of AI in the delivery of music services.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a user facing environment.
