The House of Commons Library provides an information and research service for deputies on all articles that may be related to Parliament. We are looking for a graduate to conduct research analysis and policies on the environment and other topics based on science and prepare basic materials in these areas for members of Parliament. The post is a permanent date.

You must have a first or higher degree degree of second degree and / or qualifying equivalent to graduate studies in a scientific topic related to some aspects of the environment. General attention to scientific and political questions is important, and preference will be given to the candidate with knowledge or broader scientific experience.

This role requires widespread awareness of political issues, operations and procedures. You should quickly understand the main problems, analyze and explain large amounts of information, and maintain the highest levels of accuracy under pressure. You must also have the necessary communication skills to explain technical matters for the non -dedicated. You should be able to work in a political neutral manner, build effective relationships with busy deputies and their employees and work effectively and flexible as part of the team.
