The Research and Control Center that enables the sensor (research) at Strateclyde University seeks to employ a research colleague to develop, manage and coordinate research and development activities within the unparalleled inspection and evaluation (NDE) and quality secure within a large multi -tapestical research project.

The RVRC’s new value center is located within the National Institute for Manufacturing Scotland (NMIS) and the University of Strchklide – NMIS player, in partnership with the University of Exeter and the University of Sheffield. The center of 5.5 million pounds is funded through the “Green Economy acceleration” program in Ukry and includes a team of more than 20 Multi -specialized researchers, engineers and business experts.

Daily activities in this role will include one or more of the following, according to the skills and experience:

• Research leadership and development of inspection curricula in the process of highly valuable assets.
• Contributing to the progress of ultrasound imaging, especially within difficult materials and components, using signaling and automated data, interpretation/judgment on operations and controlling the process
• The main progress of the automatic inspection strategies for industrial engineering by publishing in industrial environments and environments at the manufacturing and life point.
• Building an internal and external network with academic and industry circles to determine cooperation and projects
• Attracting financing by developing grant requests
• Supervising research students and project students
• Publishing outputs in the academic magazine and conference posts.

You will be paid in order to obtain, explain and report the results of the scientific inspection in the process of the supervision team, the owners of the industrial authority and the general project team. Scientific publishing and publishing results will be needed, through magazines and academic conferences.

In order to consider this role, you will have a high degree of honor and a PhD / higher degree (or equivalent professional experience) in the appropriate discipline. (Like mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, automation); Or you have a related equation experience in addition to a related degree. You will have the ability to conduct individual research work, manage and supervise other researchers, publish the results and be responsible for acquisition of financing (such as PI/CO-I). You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen, involve and persuade and provide complex information in a way that can be accessed to a group of fans, and you will have the ability to work as part of a team, integrate with the current research team members and cooperate effectively with academic and industrial partners.

You will be asked to travel to partner sites for technical meetings and project demonstrations regularly, and in this way, applicants must be ready and able to travel. Therefore, it is desirable for the requests of candidates with a valid driver’s license in the United Kingdom.
