The Faculty of Law at the University of Reading wants to appoint another lecturer in the shipping law to increase the strengthening of the academic faculty members. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic society with a global look and focus on academic excellence. The successful applicant will play an appropriate role in the agenda of education and ambitious learning at the Faculty of Law, as well as the broader aspects of the student’s experience. Successful candidates will conduct research that enhances the research reputation in the school (in the latest framework of research excellence, we doubled 4* outputs and 99 % of our research has been judged to lead the world, or internationally or internationally recognized).

You will have:

  • Related degree.
  • Doctorate degree (complete or near end).
  • Record the appropriate search outcomes for the job stage.
  • Specialized research in the shipping law.
  • Educational and academic skills in teaching and lessons.
  • The ability to teach UG & PG students in the shipping law units.
  • The ability to teach at least the basic UG unit.
  • The ability to conduct high -quality research (4* and 3* reference).
  • Suitable for personal, oral and written communication skills.
  • The ability to work effectively and flexibly in a team, including working on the deadlines and maintaining appropriate documents.
  • Effective management skills.
  • The ability to lead the development of curriculum and/or student experience initiatives.
  • The experience of the teaching law (or equivalent discipline) at the university level.
  • Academic management experience or broader contributions to academic life.
  • The experience of the pastoral role.
  • Advanced research plan for 5 years.
  • Preparing to play an important role in the daily life of the Faculty of Law.
