Pedot researcher: PSS (fixed period) at Cambridge University
The purpose of this role is to support and expand the scope of current research in the vital electronics laboratory on transplant electrical physiology devices. The role of the role must have experience in the design, manufacturing and description of Pedot: PSS microbroscopes. It is advisable to have previous experience in electrical physiology in rodents. The role of the role must have a strong interest in working with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers and doctors to develop and translate the new healthcare devices.
The owner of the position will be in the west of Cambridge, UK.
The main responsibilities and duties are:
1. Research and scholarships
– Working effectively with a team of scientists, engineers and doctors to develop and translate new transplant devices.
– Checking the health of the leading technology in rodent models, including surgery to put the transplant and obtain and analyze electrical physiology data.
Writing research for viewing and publishing.
– Continuous update of knowledge and understanding in the field or specialization.
2. Supporting teaching and learning
– Helping to oversee university students ’projects and postgraduate studies in the field of nervous technology.
3. Communication and communication
– Building internal and external communications and participating in networks to exchange information and form relationships for future cooperation.
4. Planning and organization
Planning and managing research activity in cooperation with others.
Contribute to planning joint research projects led by the main researcher.
Helping to prepare reports for the Finance Authority.
The skills, qualifications and expertise required to perform the role are a doctorate degree in engineering or related specialization, and extensive experience in the electrical physiology of the rodent brain, including surgery and obtaining/analyzing data and experience in tissue science.
A specific period: The funds allocated for this job are available for a period of 12 months in the first place.
