Job title


Duties:


BC Hydro has a large SAP footprint with Finance, Supply Chain, HCM, IS-U, PPM, SD all running in a single instance. Planning is currently in progress for the upcoming migration to S/4 HANA and implementation of EAM spend starting with stations (generation and transmission) and design distribution work. The Eam Solution Lead will be the key player in driving EAM initiatives by demonstrating design direction.


Working within the IT ERP team, Lead Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the EAM solution from involvement in planning initiatives to sustainability.


Reporting to the IT Operations Manager for ERP Solutions, this senior-level position supports BC Hydro’s enterprise applications strategy by enhancing internal SAP capabilities. The position focuses on managing the SAP EAM solution, and includes both operations and project delivery responsibilities. The ideal candidate’s background comes from previous SAP implementation projects and support as a SAP EAM lead.


Responsibilities:


* Responsible for all aspects of SAP EAM solution operations and closely integrated systems, including incident management, budget, working relationship and resources (staff and consultants)


* Leads SAP EAM strategy and roadmap


* Lead design workshops and write blueprint documents for various components of the EAM solution


* Subject matter expert providing advice regarding the features and capabilities of EAM solutions including closely integrated components such as work scheduling, asset performance management and investment asset planning


* Plays a projected solution or functional leadership role on SAP EAM related projects when required


* Plays a project management role on improvement projects as needed


* Initial communication between enterprise asset management application processes, business, project and program


* Continuously identifies improvements based on business needs and best practices


Qualifications:


* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or equivalent


* System expert in SAP EAM solutions with at least 3 full life cycle SAP implementations and 10 years of progressive experience in a dynamic utility industry or consulting environment


* Excellent written and verbal communication, and facilitation skills to proactively engage multiple internal stakeholder groups and external parties.


* Experience leading strategic discussions and building roadmaps


* Flexible, self-starter with results orientation and ability to make decisions quickly.


* Experience in sustaining SAP EAM solutions


* In-depth knowledge of the utility industry from generation, transmission, to distribution


* Experience implementing linear asset management is an asset


* Experience in work scheduling, asset performance management, and asset investment planning tools, is an asset


* Strong business analyst skills are a must


* Strong communication and facilitation skills, to proactively engage internal/external stakeholder groups

Flexible business model role definitions




Our four role types determine the degree of flexibility an employee can work from home based on the type of work they do. Flexibility for an individual job is up to the manager for each situation and operational requirements. Employees also have the right to work full-time from the office if they prefer. All of our roles require at least some time.


IBEW/Field – No option to work from home


Resident – Works primarily (4+ days per week) in the office.


Hybrid – May be able to work from home up to 3 days per week.


Remote – Works from home 4+ days per week
