DoorDash is hiring an exceptional, business-minded business attorney to join our legal team. You will own projects that make an immediate impact on a dynamic, fast-growing business. You will work with many aspects of the organization that support our business partners, such as product partnerships, sales, strategy and operations. You will negotiate high-value deals with strategic partners as well as automate and streamline low-touch, high-velocity work. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, excellent analytical and communications skills, and incredibly strong fundamentals as a lawyer. The ideal candidate will be someone who is creative and thinks outside the box, a self-starter who takes charge of initiatives, and takes into account even the slightest level of detail.

  • Act as a legal partner in key areas of our business, such as product partnerships and enterprise merchants
  • Negotiate strategic deals, automate and simplify lean deals, and innovate entirely new types of deals in close partnership with business partners and product consultants

  • You have 8+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • You have a proven track record in drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including sales agreements, service agreement agreements, software and technology agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • You like to get things done right, but that doesn’t stop you from getting things done

  • You lead, organize, prioritize and manage projects effectively

The successful candidate’s starting salary will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The basic salary is determined according to the employee’s work location. The ranges are market dependent and may be modified in the future.

In addition to base salary, compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

  • For paid roles: Flexible paid vacation/time off, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

  • For hourly roles: Vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (for example, about 6.7 hours/month if you work 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if you work 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (for example, about 5.8 hours/month if you work 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if you work 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position is within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
