About the role

We are looking for a Devops engineer to help design, automate and support safe, developmental and flexible infrastructure that supports all we do – from flexible learning environments to advanced research. Providing reports to the director of the infrastructure services team, which will play a major role in providing available, safe, compatible services for the future.

In this role, it will:

  • Designing and providing mixed cloud solutions and local solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Nutanix, Rubrik, Microsoft (Voip), Linux, Juniper and Fortinet.
  • Automation of publishing and simplifying operations through infrastructure such as CI/CD.
  • Supporting and improving live environments, development and testing, ensuring high availability, safety and performance.
  • Solve complex problems and provide the third line support, and cooperate with colleagues and external partners to maintain and improve services.
  • The hero of best practices, contributing to continuous improvement, compliance (gross domestic product, electronic necessities), and modern services management standards.

You will also participate in ROTA support outside our working hours for critical services-ensuring that our infrastructure is strong and flexible around the clock.

For this role, you will need to be in the site 3 days a week. Although we can accommodate work from home for this role, it is expected that flexibility is on the site due to work needs.

What we are looking for

You are a pre -emptive and cooperative Devops with a passion for automation, innovation and problem solving.

Prepare:

  • A solid experience with Azure, Nutanix, Linux and Rubrik in complex infrastructure environments.
  • A strong understanding of information technology, software development cycles, and service management.
  • Excellent and mental communication skills focused on customer, able to translate technical solutions into a real world effect.
  • The desire to learn and develop and contribute to the culture of continuous improvement.
