Role summary

The University of Exeter recruits either a post -doctoral researcher or a colleague to work with Professor Andrew Hillir in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Exter, and in cooperation with Dr. Eno Argoy at Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias. The appointed will join the center of geophysical fluid dynamics and astronomical physical at the University of Exeter to work on a STFC project to investigate the monitoring signatures of roaming in non -linear KINK waves. In particular, this project will focus on how to moisturize the disturbances in Kelvin-Helmholtz to Kink MHD waves and search for monitoring signatures of this dating mechanism in data from solar notes.

This is a STFC, which is available from November 2025 to 31^street March 2027 (the possibility of extension based on the availability of financing). The successful applicant will have experience in analyzing solar observation data, or the front modeling of simulation or comparison between solar notes and the MHD wave theory. A successful applicant may also be able to work with doctoral students, masters and joint summer.

About you

Applicants will have a relevant doctorate (or on the verge of completion of the associates) or qualification/equivalent experience in the field of relevant study. A successful applicant may have experience in one or more of: data analysis of solar notes (including but not limited to, the experience of analyzing AIA data from SDO, IRIS, or other EUV notes), which creates artificial notes through the front modeling of the simulation data using coronary lines or comparison between the wave or comparison between the wave wave or compare them between the wave The wave of data with the authority or comparison is the atmosphere of solar energy and the theory of MHD wave.
