Campaign Communications Officer – RSPB
Are you specialized in campaigns or communications and have a busy record in developing and providing successful campaigns? If you are also excited, diligent and creative, this function is suitable for you!
It will play a central role in building the movement of people who take multiple measures for nature, which increases the general demand for the treatment of the nature and climate crisis. You will have a good understanding of the NI and the broader political scene and you will be able to work effectively with partners and stakeholders outside the RSPB, as well as mobilizing our supporters.
You will enjoy great written skills and you will be able to communicate complex or artistic topics in a clear way to develop a common understanding about what nature needs to flourish. You will also need excellent skills in planning, setting priorities, managing projects, and the ability to organize yourself and maintain the campaign in the right track and in the final dates.

What is the role about?
Our advocacy campaigns are essential to help secure policies to address the biological diversity crisis. You will coordinate and present a program of public campaigns, which drive and enable public work to support the preservation of RSPB, the invitation and the increasing support priorities.
You will have a good understanding of the political scene in Northern Ireland and you will be able to explain and adapt RSPBNI campaigns to seize opportunities. You will have knowledge of the NI operations and structures and have a good sense of current affairs. You will play a major role in leading RSPB campaigns in Northern Ireland and helping our team of volunteers in the campaigns.
This role depends mainly on the home, however, the holder will be asked to organize the campaign events, etc. and attend the meetings associated with it in NI.
Basic skills, knowledge and experience:
- He received an education at the level of degree with no less than two years experience in campaigns, politics, communications or marketing, or has equivalent expertise acquired through the role of work related to the role.
- Good knowledge of the call and communications, and examples that can be proven to submit multiple channels to support initiatives or policy requests (communications and invitation to the public).
- The approach required to plan and implement a campaign facing the public; How to create a campaign strategy and a campaign plan capable of delivering the main messages to the priority targeted masses, and pushing them to take the necessary measures.
- A good understanding of politics, political and media scene in the United Kingdom and the delegated levels, and experience in explaining/responding to this to support the project goals.
- Experience in writing for the media, online, and the production of photographic, audio, visual and digital assets to support organizational priorities.
- Communications – Listen, Written and Oral: The ability to communicate complex or technical topics in a clear way at all levels to develop joint understanding.
- Strong social and personal skills, with gravity to influence the main stakeholders and organize/participate in the multi -functional project teams
The qualifications, knowledge and desired experience:
- Attention to the protection of nature and global climate issues.
- Experience in working with external agencies to develop communication campaigns.
- Experience in planning and managing events

This is a full -time permanent role for 37.5 hours a week.
