Computer Science Department is an internationally directed and homeland community in a global level in modern computer science, and combines research on innovative institutions and applications. With more than 40 professors and more than 450 employees from 50 countries, it is the largest department at Aalto University and the leading computer science research unit in northern Europe. Computer Science Research at Alto University occupies highlands in many international investigative studies (seventh in Europe and third in Nordics (NTU 2023); and 88 around the world in the Times Education Turning 2025).

We are now looking for a doctoral researcher in automatic learning

Your role and goals
Computing laboratory worthy of confidence and opponents (https://taclab.aalto.fiSkyller is led by a doctoral researcher (PhD student) to obtain a certified machine learning degree (TML). TML is a multidisciplinary field that combines machine learning, safety/privacy and transparency.

As a doctorate researcher, your goal is to conduct research in the fast -paced TML research. It is expected that:
1) Modern research.
2) Preparing and publishing manuscripts in leading conferences and magazines.
3) Providing your work in academic and industrial events.
4) Cooperation with other researchers (locally and internationally).

You will continue one or many of the following search trends:
1) Automated and reviewable automatic learning (such as numerical durability, privacy, fairness).
2) Source and safety of automated learning tubes.
3) The authenticity of the obstetric content.
4) Cyber ​​material learning systems.
5) The ability to expand from the properties from small to large models.

In addition to the research work, people who are appointed to teach after standard practices in the department will participate.

Your experience and aspirations
The situation requires excellent programming skills in Bethon with distinctive knowledge with Pytorch, experience working on shared code rules, excellent applied mathematics skills (especially the theory of possibilities, archenemy, calculus calculation). Besides technical experience, candidates are expected to have strong group work skills and cooperation, as well as efficiency in critical and independent thinking.

You are good, if:
1) You have experience in machine learning and you want to explore the safety/privacy angle, or
2) You have a safety/privacy background and you want to apply it to machine learning, or
3) You have experience in interpretation/interpretation/fair/fair.

Distinguished applicants have previous experience in authenticity, trustworthy and/or publishing record in machine learning or safety/privacy.

What we offer
We offer a fully funded site (Form 2 + 2) under the supervision of Skyller. The computing laboratory is worthy of confidence and input is a newly created new collection. The laboratory has a wide network consisting of academic companies and institutions in Europe and around the world.

The expected start date is January 2026.

The situation belongs to the AALTO functional system and the specified person will be set for a two -year fixed date with a two -year renewal option.
The start of this position is 2 815,75 euros per month. In addition to the salary, the contract includes professional health benefits, and Finland has a comprehensive social security system. The total annual work burden of research and education members at Aalto University is 612 hours. This position is located on the Utaniemi campus at Aalto University.
