GB Chemicals – Business and Impact Director at Newcastle University

Role
Great British Chemicals (GBC), funded by Epsrc and Nerc, is a leading initiative that supports the UK’s move to zero through sustainable industrial manufacturing. Under the leadership of 10 universities (including Sheffield, Newcastle and Nottingham), GBC will lead innovation by developing low -development and sustainable practices. By working with industry, government, civil bodies and third sector, GBC will distinguish a chain of chemical value and provide a comprehensive economic and environmental impact. The program will work through four cooperative flows: digital acceleration of emerging technologies, expanding carbon capture, intensifying the process, checking sustainability, and flexible monotheism of graceful innovation.

This role leads to building strategic relationships and preserving them to publish research results and presenting the GBC business program. By working closely with Professor Elizabeth Gibson and the broader team, you will run communications and participation through multiple channels, support governance activities, and contribute to the delivery of the program. It will also support Renu+, a doctoral training initiative funded by EPSRC, by involving industry partners in joint delivery and care for doctoral students.

If you have a proactive approach to your projects and development, including enthusiasm for training and learn new skills, this role is perfect for you. It will be a degree of flexibility and ability to travel to this role, at the national and international levels (including some evening flights, weekends and daily trips). This will be balanced through the flexible arrangements and practices of the university.

This role is a 72 -month contract, a fixed distance, and 18.5 hours part -time per week (0.5 FTE).
