The Faculty of Health Sciences is part of a highly successful and vibrant faculty and our partnership working across the health and social care sector is often praised. Supported by our simulation strategy and resources, the School offers a range of postgraduate and postgraduate courses leading to registration in the healthcare, nursing and midwifery professions. The University has invested more than £8 million in developing a state-of-the-art simulation centre, enhancing our record in teaching, research and knowledge sharing. We also have a wide range of post-qualification provision including an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice. The school currently runs a successful Undergraduate Physiotherapy program in its portfolio and is looking to recruit an experienced Physiotherapy Tutor/Trainer.

We welcome applications from individuals looking for part-time roles. The S Post holder will work with the Physiotherapy team and our employers to deliver university Physiotherapy programs (including an apprenticeship offer). Programs are designed collaboratively with key stakeholders; The Post Carrier will work closely with our stakeholders on an ongoing basis. You will also have the opportunity to participate in research and knowledge activities coordinated by the College’s Institute for Life Development (ILD). The ILD brings together researchers and practitioners from health, education and the humanities to address a range of issues related to lifespace, and was instrumental in our recent success at REF 2021.

The person

You will be an experienced physiotherapist with a background in education and/or research teaching across the physiotherapy program prior to registration. Ideally, your clinical expertise will be neuroskeletal and/or musculoskeletal. You will have a passion for education, thrive on seeing students succeed, and have ambition and an inquiring mind. You will have the opportunity to complete the PGCHE and progress through our Gold Framework to achieve a HEA Senior Fellowship, as well as contribute to faculty-wide research and enterprise activities. The university has an established career framework that provides the opportunity for promotion through an annual application process.
