Every three minutes of someone in the UK develops dementia: a progressive and complex condition that can be devastating to all family members. One of us will be affected by dementia in our lives, either by caring for a person with this condition, or developing it, or both. Dementia UK is a specialized charity for nursing dementia for all family members. Our specialized nurses, known as the Admiral nurses, provide free advice, support and understanding to help families care for their family. Every day, the Admiral nurses help families up and down in the country to get the best possible life, for as long as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Dementia UK research team, which leads to the development and maintenance of high -quality research and publications within the clinical directorate.

As head of research and publications, it will provide strategic leadership in all research and evaluation activities and academic publishers, and support for evidence -based development of Admiral and its impact on families affected by dementia. You will play a major role in including research and insight in operating and strategic planning of the Charitable Society, while ensuring that our work is enrolled in strong evidence and shared through academic magazines with a good reputable and broader press.

The UK dementia will represent on issues related to academic research and production, and to build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to enhance our work and influence the wider dementia care scene. Through your leadership, the charity will be placed as a reliable source of clinical and academic expertise, which leads to the progress of our reputation across the sector.

To achieve success in this role, you will keep a doctorate in the field of health care or social care, with large -scale academic activity and publishing records in the fields of research or influence. You will have the knowledge of experts in the scene of health and social care, especially with regard to dementia and its impact on individuals and families. In addition, great experience in strategic leadership in research or evaluation in higher education or health and social care organizations will show.
