About the role
Applications are invited to obtain a post-PhD research partner funded by BHF to join Dr. Fiona Lewis-Mazdougal Laboratory within the Center for Micro Blood Research. This is a unique opportunity for emerging enthusiastic researchers to become part of a team that focuses on understanding the effect of aging on the capabilities of stem cell regeneration to repair and regenerate the heart. The project aims to dissect how the regulation of metabolism weakens the path of stem cell distinction resulting from the HIPSC-CM using molecular biology, metabolism and electrical physiology. Age-related interlocutors will be targeted to improve the efficiency of HIPSC-CMS function to improve therapeutic options for elderly patients. The results of this study will have great potential for the clinical effect of HIPSC -based treatments.

About you
We are looking for great young researchers, self -shields and ambition to follow a scientific profession. It is necessary to know the indicated and doctoral degree (or near the completion) in the field of stem cell biology. A previous experience in cardiovascular biology, molecular biology and electrical physiology is desirable.

Located on Charterhouse Square, a delicate center of inflammatory research. It provides newly renovated laboratories and an advanced microscopic facility, making it ideal for highly influential research.
