Patna: Before announcing the dates of the Bihar Association’s elections directly, the CM Nitish Kumar took a big step for women during the distribution of rupees. 10,000 aid to 2.1 million women under the Prime Minister’s Employment Plan.
Various projects worth 5800 rupees
CM Nitish Kumar laid the foundation stone, projects that were opened, and custom projects worth about 5800 rupees across the various departments of the Ministry of Energy. This event took place in Sankalp 1, Ann Marga, Patna.

Women’s employment plan in the Prime Minister
The Prime Minister’s employment plan is a major initiative from the Bihar government to empower women. It aims to enable women economically and provide them with free business opportunities.
The primary goal of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to a woman in every family (husband, wife and unmarried children) in the state to start a small business or work for their self -account of their choice. Unmarried adult women are also nuclear families if their parents are not alive.
Transfer direct benefits
Under this scheme, the first batch of 10,000 rupees is provided directly to the bank account through DBT (transfer of direct benefits). This amount is not recovered and can be used to start a small company. Evaluation is made six months after the start of work. If the work shows progress, an additional financial aid can be provided up to 2 Rs. This scheme covers 18 types of self -employment (such as home industries, handicrafts, etc.).
What is eligibility?
To be eligible, the woman must be a permanent resident in Pihar. Moreover, the woman should be between 18 and 60 years. There should be no government employees, boycotts, or income taxpayers in the family. Moreover, the association with the Jeevika Self -Aid Group (SHG) is a priority. This initiative by the Bihar government provides an opportunity to enable women in Bihar.
Nitish Kumar opens a section of Patna Metro
Patna, Prime Minister of Nitish Kumar, opened a section of Patna Metro on Monday, 06 October 2025, hours before the association’s elections were announced. A high 3.45 -km long pass, which covers three stations, was opened, Battlibotra bus station, Zero Mile, and Bhoothnath, as part of the “Priority Corridor”.
An official said that the metro service will be available from 8 am to 10 pm every day, with every train that works at 20 minutes.
“The metro will complete between 40 to 42 flights per day. Each coach has 138 seats, and 945 travelers can travel. Twelve seats will be reserved for each train for women and passengers with different capabilities. Each coach will also offer mobile phone and laptop charging ports, among other facilities.”
The metro fee and other information
The official said that the fare from the Patliputra bus station to zero mile is 15 rupees, and even Bhoothnath, it is 30 rupees. The six underground tunnels and stations for which the CM placed will be built with basic stones, with an amount of 2,565.80 rupees.
Patna Metro will have two corridors – a red line (16.86 km) and the blue line (14.56 km), with a total of 24 stations. Wide -range operations are expected to start in the first stage by 2027.
Patna security is treated by members of the BSAP Special Armed Police.
