About the role

The College of Science is looking for a pre -emptive and self -trained individual to take a leading role in managing the college activities.

This is a large and interesting role that includes a wide range of different tasks of supporting senior faculty members in carrying out their duties, including managing diaries, organizing meetings, serving a number of faculty committees, collecting data, communicating with internal and external stakeholders and working in a variety of projects simultaneously in a work environment.

About you

To achieve success in this post, you will be a good team player who also enjoys an independent and initiative. You will have excellent administrative capabilities and problem -solving skills, including experience in support and the ability to manage the diverse work burden while fulfilling the strict final dates. You will be very organized, confident in dealing with data, with great attention to detail. You will have excellent and written English with the ability to write clearly and accurately, and you will be adept for its use.

You will be able to use your knowledge and initiative to manage and set the priorities of the role requirements effectively. Effective and professional communication with internal and external communications is an integral part of the role, and therefore the need for tact, discretionary power and the ability to maintain confidentiality is necessary.

Previous experience within a sector is desirable but not necessary. Skills in the use of university programs (Moodle, Samis, Agresso and Business Object) will be an additional advantage. However, caring for our work and preparing for full participation in the life of the college is equally important.

This is a full -time role and a period of (15 months) despite the encouragement of applicants looking for a 0.8FTE position (29.2 hours per week) to apply. We offer a hybrid work arrangement with the option of working from home to part of a week.
