Liverpool College of Equity Medicine (LSTM) is a leading institution in the world in the field of research and education in global and tropical health. We are now seeking to obtain a great lecturer in global mental health to join the International Public Health Department. This is an exciting opportunity to enhance and expand LSTM research and teaching and its mental health partnerships, and to build on our long -term experience in health systems, NTD research, disability and sex, and our recent strategic investment in global mental health.

PostHolder will play a leading role in developing an internationally recognized program for research, contributing to the design and presentation of innovative teaching, and the next generation of global mental health researchers. It will also work cooperatively with the global partners to translate research into politics and practice, and help forming international mental health responses.

The main responsibilities will include:

  • Development and leadership of an excellent research program globally in global mental health, with a continuous path of high -quality posts.
  • Securing a competitive grant financing and strengthening partnerships with financiers, governments and global health agencies.
  • Curriculum design leadership and teaching through master’s and doctorate degrees, and directing students with a focus on mental health research.
  • Supporting the professional development of professional researchers early and strengthening fairly fair partnerships with LMIC institutions.
  • Research translation into influence through the participation of politics, advisory roles and contributions to global health dialogues.
  • LSTM’s work in global mental health is at national and international levels, and played a leading role in relevant networks and cooperation.
  • Contributing actively to academic governance and strategic guidance of LSTM, and our values ​​modeling for inclusiveness, partnership and influence.

The successful candidate will own:

  • Doctorate or its equivalent in global mental health, public health, behavioral sciences, psychiatry/psychological nursing, psychology, social work, allied health.
  • An international reputation appears in global mental health research, through a strong record of publications that the pendant reviewed.
  • He has proven successful in attracting great external research financing.
  • Evidence of the leadership leadership in higher education institutions, including developing multidisciplinary programs and partnerships in LMIC environments.
  • Extensive experience in teaching and supervising the level of graduate studies, with a busy record in developing curricula.
  • Commitment to participatory curricula, rights based on mental health research.
