About the role

We are seeking a strategic program director who focuses on society to lead the delivery of the Nature-based neighborhood granting program (NBN)-a five-year partnership between Lund Trust and Wates Family Enterprise Trust (WFET).

NBN supports urban communities to create more green and more connected neighborhoods. Provides basic funding and peer networks and long -term planning support for community institutions that improve nature access.

It will be supervised by all aspects of delivery of the program, including grant management, the participation of stakeholders, influence reports, and communications. This is a unique opportunity to form a long -term initiative that builds the power of society and pushes naturally based change.

Main responsibilities

• Planning leading programs, delivery and annual review courses, while ensuring that they are delivered on time and budget in a way that works towards their comprehensive vision and their goals.
• Managing relationships with funded community partners to ensure good support for delivery against grant aspirations.
• Enhancing relations between sectors in society
• Supervising grant management and budget management
• Working with learning partners and influencing the program to facilitate learning, evaluation and storytelling to exchange influence
• Resistance software panels, partners ’meetings, providing major stakeholders with timely updates
• Cooperating with the internal teams to inflate the program’s vision, creating learning creatively, and supporting the construction of the local and national movement.

Person specifications

necessary:

• Experience in managing multi -year projects, preferably in the third sector
• Strategic thinker with a busy record of changing driving
• Strong skills for community participation and facilitation
• Maher in assessing influence and reporting
• A passion for climate work, social justice, nature and curricula led by society
• Prepare to travel regularly

desirable:

• Experience in making grants
• Experience in urban green infrastructure or climate transmission
• The ability to raise the general file of initiatives
• Experience in cooperation across the sector

About the program

Communication with nature can have strong social, economic, and environmental benefits. These benefits are not shared evenly. Our most deprived societies also have the lowest access to the nature they live. Societies are working to address this problem, but their efforts are often suffocated due to a lack of investment.

The NBN program aims to enhance community organizations and provide the financial and non -financial resources they need to create more related neighborhoods and societies.

This work will be held in a small number of places and explores how the commitment, participation and continuous investment can convert the results of the place, people and nature.

Specifically, these financing partnerships will:

• Providing direct support in the form of basic financing for the selected urban community organizations that share our goals.
• Providing societies with means of communication with the wonderful work that is already happening throughout the province and the development of the peer network.
• Enabling societies to develop long -term aggressive plans to increase nature communication locally.
• Support the story of the community -led story of this work, challenges and successes.
