3214125AF Lecturer in Food Sciences
The Faculty of Human Development and Health is seeking, within the University’s College of Medicine, to appoint a lecturer in food science. The successful applicant will have strong, educational, and organizational search skills.
The appointed person is expected to develop and implement an innovative research program that is in line with the school research strategy with a focus on translation science. The research will complete and integrate with other school research in nutrition, endocrine and metabolism yet at the Nihr Southampton Center for Biomedical Research (BRC).
The appointed is expected to make a major contribution to leadership, administration, institutions and delivery of education in both UG (BM) and PG (PGT/MSC in Biomedical Sciences through research/doctorate) including the development of the college education portfolio.
The successful candidate will be supported by internationally recognized leaders in areas related to research, endocrine and metabolism. The appointed person is expected to create and manage an internationally recognized independent research program and obtain a portfolio of granting grants to develop and preserve it. It is expected that the appointed and/or complement the academic priorities of the Faculty of Human Development and Health and facilitate cooperative ties within the school, faculty and university members.
The interviews will be held in November 2025 – its confirmation date.
The successful candidate will start on January 1, 2026.
