Head of Chefs at Bristol University

The Food Department at Bristol University (Source) has a rare and exciting opportunity for the Chef for the right person. We are currently looking for a head and skill president to join our dynamic team. This is a great opportunity for a cooking specialist that is devoted to excellence, a passion for food, and a commitment to maintain the highest standards in preparing meals and kitchen operations.
This position comes in a 35-hour contract per week, with additional paid work, annual leave for 25 days in addition to 8 days to spend bank holidays and another 6-9 days for the university closing days. What will you do?
List design
A plan to plan nutritious lists using local seasonal components, specially designed for food needs.
Kitchen
Supervising the preparation of daily food, cooking and presentation. Ensure hygiene and safety and care for the right equipment.
Employee Supervision
Recruitment, training and evaluation of employees. Providing training, timeline transformations, and employment cost management.
Inventory and budget
The request, receive, and a supplier. Control of food and employment costs, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
Health and safety
Maintaining sewage standards, training behavior, standard compliance, treatment of allergens and safety concerns.
Community participation
Collect notes, host cooking lessons, nutrition events, and promoting healthy and sustainable eating.
You must apply if
- You have level 3 qualification in cooking or equivalent practical experience.
- Get a high level of cooking skill with the ability to produce food for meals of students, conferences, jobs, high street restaurant, and special occasions.
- The ability to prepare and serve food has been proven at a high level.
- Level 3 food safety qualification.
- Experience in higher kitchen management through a group of food saving institutions, including food, hotels,/or restaurants and education.
- A strong understanding of the different customer needs within the university environment.
- Good knowledge of the budgets for food, food costs and purchases.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience as an older cheap, perfectly in educational and commercial processes.
