This position will fully contribute to projects related to natural risks and disasters. Initial projects will focus on harsh weather events and their effects on societies in the southeastern United States. Related project topics include complex risks, sequence, influencing prediction, disaster risk management, and community joint ventures to build local flexibility. The candidate will work closely with Dr. Antonia Sebastian and Dr. Miky Hino. This position will be responsible for a wide range of research tasks, including literature reviewing, designing analysis to achieve research objectives, analysis and visualization of data, including spatial and statistical analyzes. Data sets are large and complex, so the experience with R or Python is required. They will also evaluate the search results for validity and reliability and supervise the progress of the project. Finally, they will help develop research papers, presentations and other communications products.

Doctorate in discipline related to the field of duty, or an equivalent mix of training and experience. All grades of adopted institutions should be received appropriately.

Show efficiency in R or Python, strong skills in dealing with others, written communications capabilities, pronunciation, and efficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Academic research experience, attention/familiarity with climate change, natural risks, data analysis and relevant public policy.
