Entertainment Assistant (Rescue Guard) at the University of Leeds

location: Leeds – the main campus

The interviews are expected to be held in the week that starts on October 27, 2025

2 roles available in the following hours:

  • 3 hours on Friday from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm
  • 7 hours on Saturday from 2:30 pm to 9:30 pm

This role will be based on the university campus

Do you focus the customer and dedicated to providing an excellent service? Do you have excellent organizing skills with the ability to plan and determine the priorities of work effectively?

The university recently invested 1.2 million pounds to expand the “Edge” sports facility and provide the latest fitness and category equipment, providing a range of seasons, water activities and 25 -meter swimming pool.

As an entertainment assistant, it will act as part of a large team that ensures that the environment is safe for use and that a high level of customer service is preserved at all times. Besides your responsibility for rescue, you will safely make a set of duties, including cleaning tasks, establishing sports areas and moving equipment safely.

You will have a rescue association from the current UK Rescue Association (RLSS) (or equivalent), and you will have ideal experience in work as a rescue guard, ensuring you keep pace with the monthly training of life. You will have excellent communication skills and have a useful position towards customers, with the ability to work independently and also as part of a team.

You will need to be available to work on weeks and weekend holidays, early morning starts (0600 am) and late evenings (1100 pm) will be mainly based in one of our specific sporting facilities, however, there will be a need to work in any of our sports facilities when needed.
