Research Fellow Robot Recycling at the University of Leeds
Do you want to be part of an exciting project to improve circular manufacturing? Do you have a background in robots? Are you inspired by the use of automated systems to pay sustainability?
As a major member of the Real Robotics Lab Laboratory, you will lead the development of innovative platforms, systems and software for publishing in the real world. Real Robotics laboratory runs more than 3 million pounds in current research projects, including robots to examine and repair infrastructure, design and manufacturing advanced robot, and automation of sustainable manufacturing.
This role is part of the EPSRC research center in robots, automation and smart machine that managed to manufacture and sustainable circular materials (Rescu-M2), led by the University of Birmingham. Hub aims to transform the sustainable use of critical materials and increase the productivity of “Rex” manufacturing operations.
You will design, implement and test robots to dismantle advanced automatic systems to enable components and materials, restore and reuse materials. In cooperation with Project Partners, it will contribute to the design of devices and programs, the integration of systems, independent control strategies, the presentation of advanced demonstrators and field experiences.
This role will be based on the university campus, with a field to be played in a hybrid manner. We are open to discuss flexible work arrangements.
