About the situation
The Maritime Research Institute (IMR) is the Pioneering Research Institute in Norway for Marine and Marine Research, with a strong commitment to preserving our oceans, coastal areas and marine ecosystems. We are at the beginning of digital transformation, where we will widely use new technologies such as underwater drones, sailboats, underwater robots, satellites and other sensors in the ocean that will continue through the underwater audio modem to collect data and analyze it in new ways to enable to connect to our social mission in the future.
We are looking for developers for more reinforcement for our product team. We are working according to the SCRUM model, and you will be an employee with us part of one of our multidisciplinary products teams. We are looking for developers with good experience in R.
The tasks of developing the system will aim to develop the data infrastructure of the Marine Research Institute. Close cooperation with research societies and other development teams at the Maritime Research Institute will be an important part of daily work.
Parking reports to the head of the Digital Development Department.
Qualifications
We are looking for those who have experience in developing software and relevant experience in creating good digital solutions.
It is preferable that academic education be higher than the university or college in natural sciences. A longer work experience in the field of the relevant topic may compensate parts of educational requirements
The experience of fisheries/environmental modeling, statistics or biology is an advantage.
Efficiency will be strongly emphasized within these systems and platforms:
- Programming in p
- Experience with the development of r -packets
Experience within these systems and platforms is desirable:
- Interactive frameworks such as angular/reaction
- REST/XML/Json
- CI/CD pipelines
- Port
- The work is organized according to the SCRUM model
Language of work at the Navy Naval Research Institute. The ability to communicate well in Norwegian is an important prerequisite for the employee and the department. It is expected that non -speaking employees on behalf of the Norwegian language courses will complete during the first two years of work. Norwegian language tuition fees will be covered by the administration after the completion of the courses.
