Salary range:

Plan: $ 35-45 dollars per hour, depending on experience

Plan Assistant: $ 30 to $ 37 per hour, depending on experience

Urban planning Partners (UPP) is looking for an auxiliary plan or an enthusiastic plan to join our cooperative team that the task moves in Auckland. We have worked dynamic, influential, and it extends over the full spectrum to practice planning, from housing policy to CEQA review. This role was collaborated with its nature, which is based on communication and strong relationships, internally and externally. As part of our smart team, it will never be approved. What will you do

Depending on your level, responsibilities may include:

  • Housing policy help -Supporting judicial authorities in adopting pro -housing policies (for example, objective design standards, residential division updates, ADU decrees).
  • Geographical information systems maps and graphics – Create maps and visuals, conduct spatial analysis, and produce graphics for reports and community participation.
  • Policy management and entitlement – Evaluating the development capabilities, preparing policy assessments, managing entitlement operations, and coordinating simplified review.
  • CEqa Analysis -Preparing CEQA documents and conducting the environmental review represented in mixed projects, and projects directed towards crossing, from exemptions to EIRS.
  • Marketing and social media – Supporting marketing efforts, tracking expected clients, coordinating proposals, maintaining the communications of the professional organization, and managing the existence of social media.
  • Community participation – Design and facilitate participation activities from surveys to large workshops, using innovative methods to reach representative sounds.
  • Contract Providing municipal planning services including design review, planning of the plan, permits, public notifications, employee reports, and coordination between departments.

Qualifications and skills required

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master, preferably from the approved planning program. Instead, a degree focuses on city/urban planning, housing policy, community development, environmental studies, or relevant field.
  • Plan assistant: At least one related training is required.
  • Plan: 1-3 years of full-time professional experience in planning, housing, community development, policy analysis and a clear understanding of the planning process.
  • Writing/excellent editing, research, analytical (quality and quantity), and communication skills.
  • Flexible, directed towards details, and organized; It is able to manage time in a fast -paced environment.
  • Solve pre -emptive problems with initiative and creativity.
  • The cooperative team player is ready to photograph when needed – this is very important in a small boutique company; We are all in that together.
  • Comfort with mystery because we often work on things that are not well defined or not before.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States and a valid command license.
  • The ability and desire to work in the office is four days a week (MON-THU) in our office in Auckland with the possibility of a single date depending on the project requirements.
  • Prepare to attend evening meetings/weekends sometimes and travel as needed.

Required qualifications

  • Binary language skills.
  • Advanced GIS and drawing graphics.
  • Experience in politics and research, a curious person who loves the art of research and solving problems.
