Responsibilities: In this main position, the candidate will be responsible, along with the department management, for strategic and operational development in the Applied Linguistics Department. You will have a comprehensive responsibility for the four areas: teaching, continuous education, research and services. The tasks will also include the representation of departure and networks, internally and externally, the latter at the national and international level. As a member of the university administration team, the candidate will contribute to the development of the entire Zhaw, and represents his interests as well as in the administration’s tasks and representation on behalf of the entire university.

Profil: We are looking for a candidate with an integrated personality who has several years of practical experience in a professional field related to the Applied Linguistic Language, a person who has a busy record in an administrative requirement, ideally in an academic environment expert. Our favorite candidate has experience in a required field related to the Department of Applied Linguistics, and has the mentality of organizing projects and gets to know well with both the educational scene and professional fields.

For this difficult position, the knowledge of strategic and operational management as well as experience in employees and financial management of a large organizational unit is a must. You have a doctorate and experience in teaching and research at the university level. The candidate will have strong introductory skills and excellent communication capabilities in German and English.
