Erm, the largest sustainability consultant in the world, is looking for an experienced marine geophysical scientist to join the welfare and welcoming marine geological science team.

Our capital project connecting our capital project includes an integrated team of geophysical and geosuoro, providing specialized services to customers through a group of sectors including marine groups, marine winds, wave energy, tide and carrots, underneath cables, coastal/marine engineering, and port/ports developments.

Our capital delivery team leads the development of the Marine Excellence Center in ERM; Raed International Center for Environmental Consulting and Marine Planning Services for a wide range of customers across many sectors of the sea bottom users and marine projects, including marine winds.

The role will include hydrographic and marine geophysical data analysis, such as depth measurement, Sidecan, magnetic scale, shallow seismic data for various purposes including engineering, habitat evaluation, EIAS, and archeology. A successful candidate will also have an understanding of the marine hydrodium environment and deposit transfers, including hydrodine models, and know how to combine them into interpretations. The resulting reports are directed by our current customers on the design and installation of infrastructure, effect assessments, asset management, stopping considerations, and licensing.

Since the role will also include support for survey design abroad, technical specifications, purchases, management and data quality monitoring; Experience the survey abroad is necessary.

About you

• First degree qualified in marine geology, geophysics, or ocean
• Experience with Esri Arc Map/Arcgis Pro or QGIS, and specialized geological science programs, such as IHS KINARWIZ or Moga Seavief
• A strong understanding of the equipment and techniques of the marine geophysical acquisition
• Experienced in the interpretation of hydrographic and geophysical data, including sub -profiler
• A strong understanding of the marine hydrodine environment and deposit transfers
• Maher in technical and non -artistic writing, verbal communication
• It is keen to learn and develop the current skills within a diverse team of subject experts within an international company
• Experience the survey abroad is necessary
• Experience in writing chapters for environmental impact assessments required

Training and support will be provided to adapt to work skills in offices, project management and consulting. Although Southampton will be the favorite base, the opportunity to work in other ERM offices including London and Norwich is an option.
