Large researcher/researcher – – Social Systems Modeling Center

About Nawras

NORCE is an ascetic research institute, with experience in a wide range of strong areas and societies of knowledge. We offer research and innovation in energy, health care, climate, environment, society and technology.

Our solutions address the main challenges of society and contribute to creating value at local, national and global levels.

About the center of social systems modeling

The modeling center (CMSS) is a passionate and multidisciplinary research group at the intersection of cognitive, social and accounting science that works with subject experts and policy professionals to participate in creating conceptual and accounting models to analyze and predict societal change. We use a variety of mathematical methods, but our favorite approach is the agent -based model (ABM). As part of many multinational federations, CMSS develops mathematical models on topics related to sustainable development and peaceful social transformations. Our goal is to provide significant scientific contributions to resolve the current societal challenges, and often by working with stakeholders. In the foreseeable future, we will focus on unifying our pioneering site in the Norwegian research scene and enhancing our presence in international arenas. Our goal is that the Massachusetts Institute of Technology one day will want to be us.

About the situation

The chosen candidate will be appointed full -time position (1.0 FTE) as Forsker III/researchers or researchers at the Norce Kristiansand office. The work language is the English language, although knowledge or willingness to learn Norwegians will be an additional advantage.

We are looking for a researcher (s) that can strengthen the CMSS team, especially in the upcoming projects, where programming, developing the graphic user interface and depicting data is a major role. Successful candidates will initially focus on developing decisive ingredients (user interfaces and advanced data) of the internal strategic infrastructure and horizontal projects in the European Union.

There are no educational obligations. CMSS members are expected to follow grant requests and represent NORCE in publishing events.
