Assistant Researcher in UCL Critical Mineral Supply Series Modeling

about us

The Bartlett School of Environment and Resources is consisting of UCL, and consists of four international institutes that are explored from a multidisciplinary perspective, interlocking energy fields, environment, resources and heritage.

About the role

After the doctorate, the research assistant will conduct research on critical metal supply chains and flexibility frame. The post requires modeling experience that combines material flow analysis, evaluation of life cycle and value chain modeling. The project will explore the complex set for critical metal supply chains and will determine the paths and strategies to increase flexibility. The candidate in the NERC-UKRI project, led by Dr. Theresa Dominis, will contribute to the Canadian partners. The stand holder will have a basic responsibility for conducting material and economic analysis and modeling in cooperation with ISR colleagues and project partners in the United Kingdom and Canadians.

This post is immediately available and funded for 6 or 12 months in the first place (depending on FTE), more funding may be available to support the post.

About you

The ideal filter has a quantitative and analytical background, with mining experience and critical minerals, familiarity with data analysis and data processing, extreme attention to sustainable resources, mining and refining, a circular economy and multidisciplinary research. The ideal filter has a doctoral degree in a relevant relevant topic linked to sustainability, modeling, evaluation and integrated experience in modeling with strong quantitative skills and commitment to high -quality research. The previous experience in the modeling chain modeling is desirable.
