Role

Prestol University of Prestol University (Prestol)tinyurl.com/particle-Ristol) In the United Kingdom, you seek to obtain a major researcher/researcher participant to join his team working to upgrade HL-LHC to experience CMS in Cern. The successful applicant will focus on enhancing our participation in the exclusive high aspiration project, which is an essential part of the upgrade to CMS. In particular, they will play a pioneering role in developing and maintaining algorithm emulator as well as formatting and testing facades to level 1. The candidate is expected to spend some time in CERN during test periods.

What will you do?

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Development of the algorithm simulation program for primitive discovery
  • Developing software tools to evaluate performance
  • Prepare integration and operation test
  • Development of the interface and specifications
  • Support the broader activities of the Bristol CMS group

You must apply if

  • You have (or about to get) a PhD degree in experimental particle physics or the equivalent professional experience in the required research field.
  • You have a fluency in at least one programming language (C ++ and/or Python).
  • You have an interest in developing the algorithm/emulator for HL-LHC
  • You have an interest in assigning the new background detector systems
