First Vice President, Head of Legal Resources and Legal Governance

Role summary:

The First Vice President of Legal Resources, Human Resources and Governance provides a legal advisor and services to the Ministry of Human Resources at State Street and the Companies Family Office, including executive compensation, employee benefits, employment and corporate governance. The role includes work as an expert in the internal topic, and recognition of developing best practices and requirements in the industry, in these areas, including legal and regulatory standards associated with it on the World Bank systematically important. The main responsibilities include:

  • Managing all aspects of legal support for global compensation, benefits and employment programs in State Street, including litigation in employment and demands for labor forces of about 53,000 employees

  • The legal section in providing advice to the Global Human Resources Management Team in making strategic decisions and related legal and regulatory analyzes

  • Providing advice to the Corporate Secretariat office on legal governances, companies, policies and documents, including the integration of best practices and expectations

  • Providing legal advice and governance of companies related to the Human Resources Council/Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors

  • Act SEC ‘334 (for example, 10-k, 10-c, 8-k, Section 16, Undersecretary Statement) and preparing compensation and disclosure related to governance

  • Design and arrangements for compensation and complex arrangements, review and implement them, including cooperation with other stakeholders to address organizational and credit considerations

  • Determining, monitoring, managing risk and organizational issues and providing balanced solutions

  • Response to organizational and tax inquiries and review

  • Communication with stakeholders (such as executives, shareholders, industry peers and organizers) regarding compensation and wisdom topics

  • Mobility in judicial differences in global compensation and employment practices and legal and regulatory requirements

  • Providing advice and solutions related to compensation, benefits and aspects

  • Management, development and involvement of an experienced team of legal professionals

  • Developing relationships with their peers in the financial services industry and external lawyers, and representing Al -Balad Street in Industry Forums

  • Ensure timely reporting about the risks, developments and relevant events

  • Administration of external lawyer and other expenses

Qualifications:


  • The qualified candidate must be an expert recognized in legal cases related to one or more of the following areas: Executive compensation, employment law, employee benefits and corporate governance, with great experience in providing advice to large multinational financial institutions

Salary range:

225,000 dollars – 337,500 dollars annually
