What will you do?

• Sports Training Services Department including prevention, testing, evaluation, treatment, emergency care, rehabilitation and physical adaptation, and medical referrals related to injuries and diseases for people in custom sport (the initial sporting task is swimming/diving);
• Communication and cooperation with doctors, sports trainers, medical professionals, trainers, sports nutritionists, mental health personnel, strengths and air conditioners regarding the status of injuries and recommendations of sports students;
• Working with doctors and other sports health care employees to increase care, rehabilitate injuries and diseases for sports students, distribute injuries prevention measures such as devices, arches and devices to control joint movement and protect the limbs;
• Analysis of infection records to provide recommendations for injuries prevention techniques;
• Documenting all sports health care activities with ways to save appropriate medical records to meet the Iowa State Law;
• Providing clinical supervision for sports training students;
• It is an early for the sports training program;
• Performing all duties in commitment to NCAA, Big 12 and university policies.

A successful candidate will have strong technical skills, time management, communication and problem solving. The situation is physically required. Therefore, a successful candidate will have the ability to raise up to 50 lbs. The candidate will also have the ability to work at home and abroad in a variety of weather conditions, work different schedules that include regular evenings, weekends and travel overnight with the team (the teams). It is expected that the multicultural and working candidates with a diverse student body will abide by.

The minimum qualifications required:

Master’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience. CPR/AED Certificate. A sports coach approved through the Board of Certificates for Sports Training (BOC). You must have, or get employment within 30 days, and keep the license as a licensed sports coach in Iowa.

Favorite qualifications:

Experience in providing sports training services to the NCAA 1 or professional sport.
The experience of providing comprehensive rehabilitation and regeneration of sports injuries.
Experience in clinical supervision of sports training students.
Certified as an authentic exercise specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
