A researcher in the analytical modeling of the decision (fixed period) at Cambridge University

An exciting opportunity for a new analytical role in the cardiovascular epidemic unit (CEU), the Ministry of Public Health and Primary Welfare.

The pregnant woman will contribute to the development and application of a simulation form to customize the heart transplant in the United Kingdom, and works in close cooperation with colleagues at the Royal Papworth Hospital (RPH) and NHS Blood & Transplant. Statistical modeling, enlightened by a set of national data resources, will be needed to characterize basic operations. The simulation model will then be published to provide economic evaluation evidence to implement advanced technologies, and to report national policies.

There will be other opportunities to conduct research in alignment areas, depending on the interest of the post -pregnant holder. This may include an analysis of the effectiveness of cost within the study or analytical modeling of the decision with the application of cardiovascular diseases or blood donation research. This working portfolio is expected to lead to a series of publications as well as providing results in related scientific meetings.

The postal holder will work in conjunction with senior analysts at CEU, including Dr. Louis Kim and Professor Angela Wood. They will also work closely with scientific colleagues at RPH, including Cardiothracic Consultant MRIUS Berman.

The favorite candidate will have a doctorate degree (or equivalent) in health economics, health data science, statistics, epidemics, or other relevant quantitative topics. They will have a strong understanding of deductive and quantitative concepts and a wide range of quantitative techniques, strong computer skills and previous experience of simulation modeling. They must have the ability to communicate and provide results for other quantum scientists, epidemics, doctors and scientists, as well as verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills

The appointment at the level of the researcher is based on obtaining a doctorate (or equivalent experience), including those who have provided a doctorate but have not yet received. When a doctorate degree has not yet been obtained, an appointment will be determined at the beginning of the researcher assistant and amending it to the research partner when a doctorate is awarded (the doctorate must be awarded within 6 months of the start date)

The money of these publications is available for 24 months, from starting.

This is a full -time position, but we welcome at least 0.6 FTE applications per week.
