We are inviting requests to the position of the researcher in our group. Our group carries out activities related to quantum physics and quantum technology. Our quantum radar project consists of installing at least three connected radar nodes via fiber and the free space bond for distributed sensing. Fiber/free space link that connects the contract requires the phase installation in visual frequencies. We aim to achieve stability better than one part in 1018. We are looking for a very motivated experimental researcher who will be responsible for continuing to develop the experimental platform, as well as measure new technologies, and help planning and implementing initial experiences to install fiber.

Main duties

  • Develop research goals and proposals for private or joint research, with the help of a guide if necessary
  • Contribute to writing bids to finance the research
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Applying knowledge in a new intellectual understanding in a way
  • Publishing research results for publication, research seminars, etc.
  • Supervising students in the work related to research and providing guidance for doctoral students when necessary for discipline
  • Contribute to developing new models, technologies and methods
  • Management/administration arising from research
  • Contribute to activities related to departments/schools and management related to research
  • Contributing to the activities of institutions,/or business development and/or general participation activities to make clear to the college and university, and is often under the supervision of the project leader
  • Search data collection; This may be through a variety of research methods, such as scientific experimentation, literature reviews, and research interviews
  • Current research outputs, including formulating academic publications or parts of them, for example in seminars
  • Provide guidance, as necessary, to support employees and any students who may help in the research
  • Dealing with problems that may affect the achievement of research goals and final dates

Person specifications

  • The first degree in the field of specialization is usually a higher degree related to the field of research or equivalent qualifications
  • High -level analytical ability
  • The ability to communicate complex information clearly
  • Fluted in models, technologies or related methods and the ability to contribute to the development of new models
  • The ability to evaluate resource requirements and use resources effectively
  • Understanding and the ability to contribute to the wider management/administration operations
  • Contributing to planning and organizing the research program and/or a specific research project
  • Coordination of private work with others to avoid conflict or frequent effort
  • Knowing the protected characteristics of the 2010 Equality Law, and how to ensure an activity in the daily activity in the private region of those who have equal and fairly protected characteristics
