The Department of Visual and Employment Studies (VMS) in the College of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA) at the University of Tatz is looking for an assistant teaching professor in the field of animated media studies that begins in the fall of 2026 (AY 2026/2027). Successful candidates will teach the training courses that participate and expand in the historical and theoretical methods of visual and material culture through the study of mobile photos and media. We welcome the applicants whose research and the science of teaching assets are specialized in various methodologies, and/or global approaches to the history of the media and its theory as well as scientists interested in independent and experimental practices (including but not limited to studying augmented/mixed reality, digital cinema, historical cinema, video games, default video stabilization, and video stabilization).

Applications must explain how the candidate’s work, education raising and expanding the material and conceptual infrastructure discourse of contemporary and historical images and media. We seek young scientists who are embraced by the diverse environment, the media, multiple practices and incarnation.

The VMS Division Division shows for students of monetary and theoretical perspectives across/beyond traditional borders within visual arts, photography, animation, aesthetics, archeology, cultural studies, materialism, and more. We are looking for a colleague that includes his principles and scholarships for both historical and theoretical perspectives in framing the emerging media analysis in line with our administrative and institutional commitment to increase, care, clarify and photograph a balanced and balanced study of materialism and visual images.

The candidate must expect to contribute to the programs of departments and cooperation between departments via SMFA and Tuffs in general.

Experienced applicants in teaching and strong commitment to teaching are ideal candidates for this position. The promising record for research and scholarships that teach the principles of teaching and advice is preferred.

The responsibilities include teaching for BFA and MFA students, as well as university students and graduate studies in liberal arts and sciences, advice and guidance to students, and fulfill service responsibilities within the department, school and university.

Qualifications

Doctorate degree or ABD in transferring studies for images and media; Film studies; The history of art or other relevant specializations is required.

At least three years of experience in teaching is preferred. We are particularly interested in colleagues who can contribute to excellence in our academic and artistic society, the desire to teach in an artistic school environment, interact with both studio courses and academic subjects with solid and liquidity.
